WHAT IS THE ACCESS PROGRAM?
ACCESS is a six-month program developed by Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre to support you with your training, education and employment goals. The program is available for women in Sydney aged 18 years and over. Applications are open.
WHY SHOULD I SIGN UP?
ACCESS TO A MENTOR
A one-on-one support person to give you guidance, motivation, and information to help you achieve your goals.
ACCESS TO SOMEONE TO LISTEN

HOW DOES IT WORK?
HOW MUCH TIME?
We ask you to commit around 4 hours a month (1 hour a week) to your mentoring relationship.
WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE?
You and your mentor decide how to meet, which could include talking on the phone, video calls, meeting at a café, community facility, park or library.
YOUR ACCESS MENTOR WILL NOT
- loan or give you money
- give you financial, health, or legal advice
- help you get a job through their personal or professional networks or connections
- tell you what you should do, or speak/act on your behalf
- provide counselling to you, or be your therapist or case manager
- help you with housing, or do the work your case manager normally does
- be available to you outside of the hours you both agree on
