About the role
The Fundraising Coordinator provides operational support to WAGEC’s fundraising programs, focusing on coordinating donor engagement, community fundraising initiatives, and supporting fundraising campaigns and events. Working closely with the Donor Experience Manager and the Director of Fundraising & Communities, this role helps implement donor journeys, community activities, and stewardship efforts.
The Fundraising Coordinator ensures smooth data management, effective coordination of community initiatives, and continuous engagement with donors and partners to drive revenue growth and supporter retention.
This is 12-month fixed term, full-time role providing parental leave cover.
Core Responsibilities
- Database Management & Reporting (30%): Oversee the daily use of the CRM system (eTapestry) to maintain accurate donor records and ensure data integrity. Assist with data imports, reconciliations, and platform integrations. Generate regular reports and insights to support fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
- Community fundraising: support the WAGEC Community to fundraise and give with integrity (30%): Lead coordination of community fundraising initiatives, supporting individuals, workplaces, and groups in their efforts. Support signature events and manage the material donations program, collaborate with corporate partners to drive workplace giving and community involvement in fundraising activities.
- Donor Relations & Engagement (25%): Handle supporter enquiries across phone, email, and mail, ensuring donors receive timely and high-quality service. Process and receipt donations, maintaining accurate donor records and ensuring compliance with privacy policies. Support the Donor Experience Manager with stewardship activities to retain, engage, and grow mid, major, and corporate donors. Help cultivate relationships with corporate partners to align them with WAGEC’s fundraising goals.
- Fundraising Campaigns & Appeals (15%): Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal fundraising appeals, such as EOFY and End of Year campaigns. Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and develop campaign content. Track and report campaign performance, providing insights to improve future fundraising efforts. Support the development of impact stories to inspire continued donor engagement.
About you
- Fundraising experience in supporting the coordination of campaigns, events, or community initiatives.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., etap, Salesforce, Raisely) for data management, reporting, and segmentation.
- Data analysis in handling and manipulating data to inform strategies and donor engagement.
- Strong communication and relationship skills for speaking with donors and corporate partners.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and event coordination.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to be creative when things don't go to plan.
- Team player and willingness to pitch in and help your team as needed.
